Earlier this year, publisher Kodansha announced that a new a new Cardcaptor Sakura manga was on the way, as a “full-fledged sequel series.” This June, this finally happened, as Sakura made her return to the pages with the first story titled “Clear Card Arc.” The first installment shows Sakura and her friends Tomoyo and Li Syaoran as now junior high students.
But the major return of one of anime’s most beloved heroines doesn’t end there.
Further announcement reveal that a Cardcaptor Sakura anime is also on its way. Yes! Sakura will be back on screen too! There are no specific details yet as to when this exactly will be released, but ahhhh, just the thought of it. This is something exciting to look forward to.
