Here’s What Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson Think About A Possible Captain Marvel/Valkyrie Romance

When Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie was confirmed to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first bisexual hero fans were quick to start the search for her ‘queen’, since she is the current ruler of Asgard now. And it looks like that search may be drawing to a close. That is, at least, if Brie Larson has anything to say about it.

Appearing at the ACE Comic-Con in Chicago last weekend both Brie and Tessa were quick to loudly declare their support of a relationship between their respective characters. “We’re here to ship, ya’ll!” Larson said. “We can dig into it, I’m just telling you we’re shipping.”

On her part, Tessa was similarly sold on the idea of a Captain Marvel and Valkyrie ship. She stated: “Brie is my real-life queen, in general. If it becomes canon, that’s cool, too.”

While Captain Marvel’s sexuality has never been explicitly stated or discussed, the movie’s directors seem to have kept deliberately vague on the subject. Brie, on the other hand, has been pretty clear with her stance on the matter. She even tweeted fanart of the Captain Marvel/Valkyrie pairing some months ago.

However, this talk is purely hypothetical (for now). There has been no announcements or hints at the next time we’re going to see these two characters share the same screen again. But if fans have anything to say about it, it’ll happen sooner rather than later.
