With a country that is as pageant-obsessed as ours, one competition will be marking itself as one of the premier beauty pageants of the country after Binibining Cebu crowned its first-ever titleholder on October 28, amidst a star-studded guest list.
54 stunning women from Cebu’s 44 towns and nine cities vied to be the first Binibining Cebu, but it was Miss Badian Apriel Smith that went home with the title. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Gerodias of Minglanilla landed as first-runner up; Samantha Lo of Asturias was crowned Binibining Cebu Tourism Samantha Lo of Asturias; Binibining Cebu Charity was awarded to Maria Gigante of Bantayan; while Kathleen Mae Lendio of Danao City finished as second runner-up.
Behind the Binibining Cebu pageant are renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue as creative producer, as well as acclaimed fashion designer Cary Santiago, both internationally recognized in their own right. No wonder the Binibining Cebu really knows how to bring on the beauty!
The beauty pageant’s coronation night was held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on October 28.
