Ben&Ben to Donate Earnings From Their Song to Retrenched ABS-CBN Employees

With the release of their newest song, “Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin?”, local folk-pop band Ben&Ben is donating all their earnings to the retrenched employees of ABS-CBN Network who will lose their jobs starting Monday, August 31.

The band posted this news on their Twitter account.

“Hello, sharing with you that we’ve given earnings from our song “Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin” to programs that will support retrenched employees of ABS-CBN, through Lingkod Kapamilya,” they said.

“The band’s goal in releasing the song has always been to be of service to retrenched employees of ABS-CBN,” they added.

Ben&Ben released “Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin?” last June in time for the Philippine Independence Day. The music video then premiered after the ABS-CBN Network was denied a fresh franchise from Congress in July.

“Isang alay sa ating mga kapamilya, sa bigat ng mga pangyayari ngayon,” they expressed at the beginning of the video that starred Agot Isidro, Bart Guingona, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Kelvin Miranda.
