To celebrate /ESCAPE’s successful first year as one of the country’s hottest digital hubs, The Palace Pool Club together with co-presenter SM Accessories threw #AYearOfESCAPE, the biggest summer kickoff party in the metro, last March 3. Partygoers were invited to step into /ESCAPE’s Electric Forest as international rising star Kiiara made her way to Manila for her very first international performance. What better way to spend a Friday night?
Dreamcatchers, neon banners and live installations courtesy of Doodle Arts lit up the night with eye-popping visuals while clubbers came in their best Electric Forest festival outfits and took pictures at the SM Accessories photobooth wall. Gorgeous hosts with tablets roamed around to give out complimentary jello shots to night owls who signed up for their newsletters while goodies like fruity poptails, Pouf cotton candy and limited edition /ESCAPE caps were also up for grabs.
Aside from the abundance of must-have swag, #AYearOfESCAPE also offered a brand new roster of party shots—Shookt Not Stirred, Hey Hoe, Busy Bey and IDGAF—courtesy of our official alcohol partner Belvedere.
Transforming Pool Club’s iconic pool area into a makeshift runway for one night, SM Accessories kicked off the festivities with a one-of-a-kind fashion show as statuesque models sizzled in skin-tight outfits wearing the hottest picks for the summer.
The Palace resident DJ Nix Damn P and aspiring singer-songwriter Lesha warmed up the crowd with electrifying performances before international electropop artist Kiiara took the stage and performed a string of tracks such as “Feels”, “Hang Up The Phone” and “Gold” from her debut EP Low Kii Savage. Kat DJ closed the celebrations with a heart-pumping EDM set.
Among the event’s celebrity attendees were The Palace partner Raymond Gutierrez, ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemates Luis Hontiveros and Wil Dasovich, as well as former Philippine Azkals player Anton del Rosario and fiancée Samantha Richelle.
The Palace Pool Club never fails to make every party goer’s nightlife vibrant and entertaining. Kiiara’s live performance was the cherry on top of the ‘already’ epic night—especially when she sang “Gold”, her most well-known song. Every night out and event at the Palace is always enjoyable and worth it; hence its reputation of being the go-to club of the millennials.
The Palace, first established in 2014, is Manila’s premier nightlife and clubbing destination situated in the bustling metropolis of Bonifacio Global City. Named #61 in DJ Mag’s definitive list of top 100 clubs in the world, it is currently composed of four concept outlets: Valkyrie, Pool Club, Revel and Cafe Naya.
