Ken San Jose will officially take New York by storm next year with his Broadway debut in EVITA!

On September 22, 2026, the 24-year-old dancer, actor, and content creator shared the wonderful news with his loved ones and fans on social media.

He wrote, “Still processing this… But I’m heading into this new journey with an open heart. Honored to perform and grow alongside incredible artists in such an iconic show. I will give everything I got out there. I cannot wait to be back at my favorite place in the world… the stage. And of course, representing as a Filipino-American!”
Cheers and support poured in from his friends in the entertainment world, including Alexa Ilacad, Morissette, Hannah Pangilinan, Sam Concepcion, and AC Bonifacio, to name a few.
Over the years, Ken has grown a remarkable following through his dance covers and performances, which helped him finish third in World of Dance Philippines back in 2018. After capturing our hearts last March as Mark Anthony in the Manila staging of A Chorus Line, he’s taking his passion for the stage to new heights with his first-ever Broadway role.

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s EVITA portrays the life of Argentina’s headstrong First Lady, Eva Péron. Her story offers gripping commentary on class disparities, power, and authority, backed by a timeless score that includes the classic hit “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.” The Broadway musical premiered in 1979 and was adapted into a 1996 film starring Madonna, the “Queen of Pop.”

Decades later, EVITA is gearing up for a much-awaited 2027 run led by Golden Globe Award-winning actress and singer Rachel Zegler. Ken will be joining her, Diego Rodriguez, Jamie Olivas, and more phenomenal performers in bringing this celebration of diversity to life.
As we look forward to seeing Ken shine on the global stage, we also anticipate the many doors that’ll open for aspiring Filipino storytellers in the world of theatre.
