Fresh off its triumphant sweep at the 9th Entertainment Editor’s Choice Awards (The Eddys), taking home major awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, TBA Studios’ award-winning historical drama “Quezon,” starring Jericho Rosales, premieres in Hollywood, Los Angeles at the 3rd Manila International Film Festival. The screening will take place at the
historic TCL Chinese Theater on September 5 (Saturday) 4:30 PM.
“Quezon” marks the much-awaited conclusion of the film studio’s cinematic “Bayaniverse” trilogy, a series of films based on Philippine history that includes “Heneral Luna” (2015), the Philippines’ highest-grossing historical movie of all time, and critically acclaimed “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” (2018).
Jericho Rosales plays the titular role of Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon in a historical drama that delves into the past President’s lifelong quest for power. By playing the game of politics better than everyone, the President cements a legacy of patronage and favoritism that thrives to this very day.
Lead actors Jericho Rosales and Karylle, alongside the film’s producer, Daphne O. Chiu-Soon, will attend the screening in person and participate in an exclusive post-screening Q&A session with the audience.
