Makati’s The Spirits Library is the sole Philippine bar recognized on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 Extended List.

On July 14, The World’s 50 Best Bars unveiled its extended list, highlighting Asia’s vibrant cocktail scene, where the Makati bar secured the No. 98 spot. It is the only Philippine representative to make this year’s list.

The list was determined by a panel of more than 300 bartenders, bar owners, cocktail experts, and journalists from around the world. Meanwhile, the main awards ceremony will be held on July 28.
Opened in 2019, The Spirits Library is a hidden Art Deco cocktail bar in Poblacion, Makati, known for its rare spirits and omakase-style cocktails.
The bar features a short drinks menu inspired by Charles H. Baker Jr.’s The Gentleman’s Companion, a classic cocktail travelogue. Rather than offering an extensive selection, it serves 1930s-era cocktails reimagined with modern bartending techniques. The intimate and thoughtfully curated experience makes it an ideal spot for casual nights out or romantic date nights.
