Andrea Brillantes Responds to Buzz Over ‘Hacked’ Instagram Stunt

Andrea Brillantes is opening up about the reactions to her new musical persona, “Ramona.” The actress recently launched her pop-rock single “GAGA,” and in the lead-up, she temporarily cleared her Instagram feed, sparking speculation that her account might have been hacked or that it was a PR move.

Through the @sabingakosiramona account, Andrea confirmed the blackout was intentional, introducing Ramona with a playful post: Hacker reveal. Ramona nga pala… isang GAGA!”

In a series of Instagram stories, she addressed online conversations, noting that some of the criticism stemmed from expectations of scandal or controversy rather than from the music itself.

Andrea also commented on critiques of the song, acknowledging that the lyrics aren’t meant to be deeply serious.

“A lot of the words in the song reflect things people have been saying about me over the years,” she wrote. “’GAGA’ was made to poke a little fun at the haters.”

She shared that the track was written years ago as a form of personal expression, adding that she’s glad it finally saw the light of day.

Outside of music, Andrea is set to appear in the upcoming show A Secret in Prague with Enrique Gil.
