HWONFEX 2025 Returns This September with Health, Wellness, and Tourism Showcase

The Philippines’ pioneering and premier health and wellness event is returning this September for its fourth staging. The Health and Wellness Conference and Expo (HWONFEX) 2025 will be held on September 5–7, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

This three-day event will once again showcase a wide array of the country’s top health and wellness products, services, and destinations to help promote healthier living as a sustainable lifestyle. It will also bring together key health and wellness stakeholders from both the private and government sectors.

In line with the theme “Go & Get Better: Regenerative Tourism Recharges All,” the event will highlight the country’s many attractions that make the Philippines a world-class health and wellness tourism destination.

Filipino hospitality, a welcoming attitude, and a happy disposition are often cited by foreign visitors as among the top reasons they are drawn to the Philippines. In the latest World Happiness Report, the country ranked among the 10 happiest nations in Asia for 2025. With happiness being one of the key indicators of a healthy lifestyle, the Philippines—also among the 20 Asian countries with the longest life expectancies—continues to strengthen its reputation as a health and wellness hub.

As an event for happy people, HWONFEX 2025 promises to be both festive and informative. Visitors will have the chance to meet and consult with experts on integrative medicine, nutrition, psycho-emotional therapy, spiritual healing, physical fitness, beauty and cosmetics, and more. They can also learn about and experience traditional Filipino healing practices such as hilot and various herbal remedies. The Department of Health (DOH), a longtime supporter of the event, will once again provide free vaccinations to early visitors.

Health and wellness startups will benefit from the business-to-business (B2B) platform, one of HWONFEX’s unique features. This will give entrepreneurs opportunities to connect with successful business owners, gain insights, and possibly build partnerships. Meanwhile, investors exploring the Philippine wellness market—already valued at US$43.3 billion in 2023 according to the Global Wellness Institute (GWI)—can attend conferences to hear established entrepreneurs share insights, experiences, and success strategies.

Globally, the wellness tourism industry, valued at US$6.3 trillion in 2023, continues to recover and expand rapidly. It is projected to reach nearly US$9.0 trillion by 2028. The GWI ranks the Philippines 23rd out of 218 countries worldwide and 8th out of 45 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, solidifying its presence in this fast-growing market.

Even corporate leaders outside the health and wellness industry can gain valuable insights at HWONFEX 2025. A dedicated session on workplace wellness will feature HR leaders and wellness experts who will discuss strategies for creating healthy, happy, and productive work environments.

HWONFEX 2025 offers something for everyone—from individuals looking to live healthier and more active lives to entrepreneurs seeking fresh opportunities in this thriving sector.

The event is co-presented by the Wellness Tourism Association of the Philippines (WETAP), in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC). It is supported by the DOH, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). Organized by Mblessed Travel and Marketing, Inc., it is made possible through the support of sponsors, event partners, and media partners.
