TasteAtlas, an experiential travel guide to traditional food around the world, just dropped this year’s Best Southeast Asian Food. Two Filipino dishes ranked highest on the list–Lumpiang Shanghai and Tortang Talong, which both garnered a 4.8 rating each. Indonesia’s Bubur Ayam also made it to the top 3 with a 4.7 total average rating.
Sinigang is also listed in the top-rated dishes. Sinigang na Baboy has a 4.7 rating on the site, while Sinigang na Hipon garnered 4.6 stars.
On the other hand, Balut was given a 2.7 rating by the TasteAtlas audience making it one of the “worst”. Indonesia’s Acar and Cambodia’s Steamed Curried Fish were also among the lowest-rated dishes. They garnered 3.2 and 3.3 stars respectively.
