Miss World Rescheduled to 2022—Here’s When

Following the sudden cancellation of the Miss World pageant last December 17, the beauty competition will now be rescheduled to March 2022 according to its official Facebook page.

The pageant was called off right before the coronation night after 17 contestants and personnel tested positive for COVID-19. The 70th Miss World will now be held on March 16 and will still be live-telecasted from the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot.

The organization assured fans that pre-recorded content that has been taped throughout Puerto Rico in the weeks leading up to the initial coronation night will still be broadcast on the new finale date. Ticketholders will still be able to use their tickets or may choose to refund them.

Tracy Maureen Perez will be representing the Philippines in the global pageant in the hopes of being the second Filipina to win the Miss World crown, after Miss World 2013 Megan Young.
