Kutitap MNL is an online shop established by Kate-Rose Villanueva in late 2020. She shares with WhenInManila.com that she and her mom are huge fans of scented candles and shopping trips would take a lot longer than usual because they couldn’t decide on which ones to get. So, they decided to just make their own.

“Kutitap” simply meant glimmer or a slight sign of something good and positive, and it was the perfect brand name for Kate especially since the brand was born in the midst of celebrating the holidays during the pandemic.
Their online store is definitely a wonderland for Disney fans and scented candle lovers. They offer a wide variety of candles inspired by iconic Disney characters, Disney songs, and even Disney quotes!

Some of their bestsellers include the Beauty and The Beast-inspired “Tale as Old as Time” candle which features lime, basil, and mandarin scents. Another bestselling candle is the Frozen-inspired “I Like Warm Hugs” candle which has the scent of vanilla sugar—and it definitely feels like a warm hug.

We especially love Kutitap’s Disney Villain Collection which features scents inspired by iconic Disney Villains. These villains include Maleficent, Ursula, Cruella, and Captain Hook. It was actually such a pleasant surprise how these villain-inspired candles smelled so good! Of course, we also loved the dark and mysterious design of the candles.

Kutitap also recently released a new High School Musical-inspired candle that smells like Zeke’s iconic creme brulee. This one’s perfect for huge fans of the High School Musical movies like me!
All of their candles are handmade and produced in small batches, with only pure soy wax and phthalate-free oils. They also use sustainable packaging, even including a plantable thank you card infused with spinach seeds—as if we needed more reasons to love them!
