A barangay captain from Dasmariñas Village in Cavite was caught having sex during a Zoom meeting. The captain, identified as Jesus Estil by the DILG, was caught having sex with his treasurer during an online meeting about the barangay’s COVID-19 response.
The incident was recorded by a staff member who was also part of the meeting. According to Jorge Magno, President of the Association of Barangay Captains in Dasmariñas, Estil and the treasurer have resigned following the incident.

With this, DILG Undersecretary and spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said that this incident is “appalling and disturbing because it goes against public morals and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards of Public Officials and Employees.”
“If true, this is unbecoming of an elected government official,” said Malaya. Malaya added that the DILG is conducting an investigation regarding the incident, and also urged the Dasmariñas City government to investigate the matter.
