Bea Alonzo met Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto for the first time the other day and couldn’t help but make a joke in reference to the much-loved Filipino film “Four Sisters and a Wedding” in which she starred together with Vico’s mother, Coney Reyes.
“Hi Mama! Nakilala ko na ang paborito mo!” she said in jest on her post.

Bea met Vico on Saturday afternoon, June 20, to turn over relief goods and medical supplies from her charity organization, I Am Hope, for the benefit of “the fathers who choose to serve the community by cleaning the streets and picking up our garbage” in celebration of Father’s Day.
“MARAMING SALAMAT PO sa mga tatay na street sweepers at garbage collectors sa pagtulong sa ating kumunidad at sa pagttrabaho ng marangal para sa kanilang pamilya,” she said.
[“Thank you very much to the fathers who are street sweepers and garbage collectors for helping our community and for working dignified jobs for your families.”]

It was back in April when Bea established I Am Hope with her friends to help raise funds for COVID-19 relief. She has since donated food, personal protective equipment, medicine, and other supplies to medical front-liners and Filipino families who are greatly affected by the public health crisis.
As of the end of May, she has raised over PHP 9 million in cash and in-kind donations.
