There hasn’t been much news about the much-awaited Princess Diaries 3Â since star Anne Hathaway revealed that it’s in the works to talkshow host Andy Cohen earlier this year.
“There is a script for the third movie,” she had said. “There is a script. I want to do it, Julie [Andrews] wants to do it, Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it. We all really want it to happen.”
However, Anne’s costar Julie Andrews just gave an update to Entertainment Tonight and shared that she actually has yet to be approached to do the sequel.
“I don’t think the script’s even been written. I don’t think anyone is yet sure of when, what, where, how,” she said.
She did say that she’s willing to reprise her role as Queen Clarice Renaldi if Anne “would like to me to be.”

Explaining the delay in making the film, Julie continued: “Think of how many years its been since that came out. And [Anne is] a busy lady. And I’ve been a busy lady. Getting it all together… but in this magical visit, you never know.”
