The University of the Philippines DOST Scholars’ Association (UP DOST SA) will hold its annual Sponsor-A-Kid (SA-Kid) program this May 4, 2019 at Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Project 4, Quezon City.
This year’s SA-Kid will be celebrated with the theme “Astromoyun?!” where the children from the center will be taught to learn new insights, to raise their scientific awareness though interactive science-related activities, and to inspire them to be future scholars of the country.
SA-Kid is a way of giving back of the scholars through community service and also to create a greater impact to the Filipino children. Each year the organization caters to different communities to increase awareness and ignite curiosity on science and technology to children.
With this, UP DOST SA is humbly asking from people who would want to participate in the said event. The organization is accepting donations in monetary form or in other means such as food and beverages, grocery items and books and clothes that are appropriate for 6-10 year-old children.

About the organization: The UP DOST Scholars’ Association, officially recognized in 1979, is a non-stock, non-profit, socio-academic organization of DOST scholars in UP Diliman. The organization aims to promote science awareness among the Filipino youth, advance science education in the Philippines, and enhance the development of each of its member’s skills and potentials.
