Huawei Philippines offers budding photographers the chance to sharpen their skills through a series of workshops dubbed Behind Portrait Photography. This series of workshops takes place nationwide in the next couple of months.
Redefining portrait photography
A media workshop kicked off the Manila leg of Behind Portrait Photography, taking place at the Leica Store in Greenbelt 5, Makati City last May 25, 2017. Featuring renowned photographer Dookie Ducay, the workshop discussed the basics of photography, the importance of tools used, and the artistry of portraiture. Dookie guided participants on how to get the most out of a portrait using the Huawei P10, demonstrating its superior image quality courtesy of its Leica co-engineered dual camera.

Participants got to try out the dual camera capabilities of the Huawei P10 for themselves, experiencing the exquisite studio-like results never before captured by a smartphone.

Honing more local talent and enthusiasm
Following the exclusive media workshop, Huawei conducted two consecutive sessions for consumers last May 27 and 28 at Elias Restaurant, Bonifacio High Street in Taguig. Fashion and beauty photography extraordinaire Sara Black shared her knowledge on the second day, with Dookie Ducay again took the reins on the Sunday session. The workshop was open to all Huawei users, to provide them with a one-of-a-kind and hands-on learning opportunity from some of the most well-known local experts.

The sessions were capped off with a portrait taking activity with the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. Brand new Huawei P10 units were given to the participants with the best portrait taken. These lucky winners are Ryanne Co, Roden Cruz of Sta. Ana, Manila, and Mark Bondoc of Pasig City.
