LOOK: Netizen Calls Out Manila Government for a Bridge Filled with Trash

You will find most of the tourist spots and major establishments in Manila. As expected it is a busy area which compromises the city’s cleanliness and orderliness. However, a Netizen had enough and called out Manila government‘s attention for a bridge filled with trash.

This photo was uploaded by Robert King. According to him, the bridge is called “La Torre” bridge going to Chang Kai Shek High School.

His caption:

Hello po mr.mayor! Sobra na ito para hindi pa po mapuna! Please share, baka sakali may mangyari1f61e????1f61e????1f61e????

Robert described the photo: “Left side of la Torre bridge. Welcome to manila!”

“Pwede ka na maglakad dito.” (You can already walk [on this pile of trash]).

With a quick online chat with Robert, he confirmed that the photos were taken last September 6. The place is walking distance from Metropolitan Hospital, St. Stephens, and Chiang Kai Shek High School. The famous retail place for locals called “Divisoria can also be reached by foot in only 15 minutes,” Robert added.

Last September 1st, the Manila Mayor told the Manila Standard that he is acquiring a fleet of garbage trucks worth P17.7 million. This is to initiate and modernize the Department of Public Services (DPS), as well as, other departments of the city hall.

While we are aware that the Mayor’s job is difficult, we are hoping this gets done immediately.

Do you agree with the Netizen? Should the Mayor prioritize this issue first? What do you think is the best solution to this problem? Share your thoughts below.
