On Friday, the latest Pulse Asia senatorial survey was released and it showed that boxing icon and Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao has the biggest drop in terms of voter support in the recent poll.

According to various news reports, Pacquaio’s rating dropped from 46.9% to 34.8% pushing him down the 11th to 14th spots, which is towards the end of the Magic 12. Prior to this, Pacquiao sits on 8th to 10th places.

The Pulse Asia survey is conducted from February 15 to 20 via face-to-face interviews, amid the outrage due to Pacquaio’s controversial statement regarding same-sex unions. He apologized afterwards.

Right after, Karen Davila had a phone interview with the senatorial candidate.

Apparently, Pacquiao may also be facing possible violation of election rules with his upcoming match against American boxer Timothy Bradley in April.

The top senatorial preferences for the surveyed period are:

  1. Tito Sotto (63.6%)
  2. Ping Lacson (60.2%)
  3. Kiko Pangilinan (54.1%)
  4. Ralph Recto (53.%)
  5. Franklin Drilon (52.4%)
  6. Migz Zubiri (48.5%)
  7. Leila de Lima (45.3%)
  8. Sergio Osmena III (43.7%)
  9. Dick Gordon (42.6%)
  10. Win Gatchalian (41.2%)
  11. Joel Villanueva (39.1%)
  12. TG Guingona (36.7%)
  13. Risa Hontiveros (34.8%)
  14. Manny Pacquiao (34.8%)
  15. Francis Tolention (24%)

Do you think Pacquiao’s drop in voter support is due to his same-sex union statement?
