Baguio trips are not complete without trying out some of the local restaurants. More than just the cool sweater weather, this city is known for good foods. On your next trip to Baguio, make sure you find time to visit this restaurant for some of their heartiest meals and desserts!
Sage is located along the peaceful road of Military Cut-Off. The location is situated near some of the tourist spots like Camp John Hay. It is easy to find this restaurant because they have a distinct exterior look.
Upon entering the restaurant, you will be welcomed with a lovely facade. For this holiday season, they embellished the place with pink and purple Christmas decorations. The yuletide feels are all over the place.
The interior furnishings are themed with pastel shades of purple and green. With the natural lighting from their wide windows, the colors induce a very calm mood for dining.
Upon checking out the menu, we started with their Sage House Salad (P180). This is a summer salad with a mixture of Romaine lettuce, kiwi, tomatoes, mangoes, peanut brittle, topped with their house blend of strawberry vinaigrette. This is a such a special salad as they infused Baguio’s famous strawberries in the dish for a sweet twist.
For the main courses, they serve various chicken, beef, and seafood dishes. All of the dishes are delectable that it’s so hard to choose only one!
Honey Lime Chicken Skewers (P220)
We tried this soft and juicy grilled chicken skewers with vegetables. The dish can be served with your choice of java, garlic, or plain rice.
Creamy Bulalo Steak with Mashed Potatoes (P280)
Check out this must-try Creamy Bulalo Steak with Mashed Potatoes! A huge slab of Bulalo steak for sharing or maybe just for yourself. *wink* The creamy gravy topping alongside with the mashed potatoes on the side made the dish even more mouth-watering.
Another dish you shouldn’t miss is their Barbecued Spareribs. You can never go wrong with some well-marinated meat with tasty barbecue sauce.
Baked Prawns with Boursin Garlic and Herb Cheese (P280)
This seafood dish is my personal favorite. The creamy white sauce complements the baked prawns perfectly. Super yum! I can’t wait to munch on these again on my next visit in the restaurant!
These meals are best paired with Sage’s fresh fruit shakes. They offer 7 different fruit shakes. For our food trip, we tried Honeydew and of course, Strawberry.
Strawberry and Honeydew Fruit Shakes (P85 each)
And who would miss Sage’s delicious dessert offers?
Apple Cinnamon Tortilla Wrap (P140)
This dessert is served with cottoned sugar swirled above and around the sliced cream roll. Such a treat for the eyes and the taste buds! It’s definitely the sweetest way to wrap up a delicious meal!
When you visit Sage, it is also recommended for you to try their Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Basil Shrimp Pasta, and their classics, Onion Rings Tower and Sisig Shots. You surely can’t miss grabbing a good meal in this restaurant the next time you’re in Baguio. Bring a date or bring your loved ones to make the dining experience even lovelier!
