Natalia was recently discharged from the Philippine Heart Center after recovering from COVID-19. She was warmly received by the hospital’s health workers and her family, who cheered her on as she arrived at the hospital lobby.

[When she got out of the elevator, she was shocked because she thought only 2 people would pick her up but then there was the staff of Philippine Heart Center. There were also five of us from the family to pick her up.]

It was an especially emotional reunion for their family as Natalia spent 44 days battling COVID-19 in the hospital, where she had been isolated from her family.

[She was sick but had no family in the room with her. It was just her. She could only be visited by her nurse.]

[She said in the car: I thought I wouldn’t be able to go home.]
