The Philippine Consulate General had some good news for us this Thursday. They announced that 2 Filipinos who had previously tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have already been discharged from the hospital.
This means that there are only 2 Filipino patients remaining in hospital isolation in Hong Kong.
However, there are currently 6 Filipinos placed under quarantine in Hong Kong. 2 Filipinos were only just placed in quarantine after being in contact with COVID-19 positive individuals. All 6 are healthy and show no symptoms of the disease.
At least 5 Filipinos have tested positive for the disease in Hong Kong, so far.
The most recent report of the Department of Health as of writing states the Philippines’ tally of COVID-19 cases as 52. The DOH seeks to remind the public to remain calm and to practice precautionary measures.
