“There are times when it is necessary to abandon our humanity, to save humanity” — the Colonel, played by Woody Harrelson, shouts at the top of his lungs as he proclaims an all-out war against the apes.
War for the Planet of the Apes is the third installment to the Planet of the Apes reboot. Starring Woody Harrelson and Andy Serkis as the voice of Caesar, the film is about Caesar seeking revenge for his kind as they “suffer unimaginable losses.”
The action-packed trailer reveals a war between human and apes, at a time when it is even unclear why there is a need for war at all. Caesar says so in the preview: “I did not start this war.”
