In case you missed it, it has been announced that Waze will soon have voice commands in Filipino. In line with that announcement, a certain post intrigued netizens to give suggestions on which Filipino celebrity they’d like to hear as voice commands in Waze, a traffic and navigation smart app.

The comment section exploded with jovial suggestions of names of different Filipino personalities, with Rufa Mae Quinto being one of the most frequently mentioned.

Twitter user Reyna Bismar, a former UST radio jock now with her own show, took it to social media how she would mimic the 39-year-old actress slash comedienne should the latter be chosen as a commanding voice over.

The post has received positive reception, expressing humor and amusement from the radio jock.

WHEN IN MANILA has reached out to Bismar for further details.

“I did [the video] when someone tagged me on FB on CNN’s post. I was so bored that day and medyo emotional din (was pretty emotional). So I made a video immediately. Naisip ko na si Rufa Mae [Quinto] (I thought of Rufa Mae [Quinto] immediately). I tweeted first with the caption “I’ll do it with the Rufa Mae voice,”. It was just for fun but I did it anyway. Hahaha!”

Bismar also mentioned that she used a photo sharing application for the videos with just one take to record it. She also decided to combine it all together and upload it to Twitter and Facebook “just for fun” She also didn’t expect it to go viral.

“I just love making videos. I post some of it on my Facebook. I love impersonating actors and actresses, too. Actually very ganado ako gumawa pa ng videos kasi syempre may nagmemessage saakin na tuwang tuwa sila; I ‘made their day’. (Actually, I get encouraged to make more videos because there are some people that message me that they find joy with my videos and I ‘made their day’.) Haha. Before, sa friends ko lang ginagawa. (Before, I used to do it for my friends.) Now, I think I’m more confident to share it to netizens, haha!”
