I don’t know about you guys but The Simpsons is one of the cartoons I’ve loved as a kid and still do until my adult years. Though there isn’t much of a storyline to it, it’s still something we just have to watch for some reason. It’s simple, unpredictable and with a little dark humor. And just when you thought they’ve ran out of twisted plots and outlines, executive producer Al Jean announces that after 26 years of marriage, Homer and Marge are to legally separate in the 27th season of the show. Say it isn’t so.
Homer was always kind of a klutz and all types of weird and crazy, but Marge has always been able to put up with him. It’s sad that even in cartoons, relationships just can’t last! (#walangforever) According to several sources including dailymail.uk, Homer is diagnosed with narcolepsy, a chronic sleep disorder that causes overwhelming daytime drowsiness. This places incredible strain on their marriage which eventually leads to their separation. Moreover, the website also shares that Homer is also set to fall in love with his 26 year old pharmacist, voiced by Lena Dunham. Keeping it young Homer?
This really came as a shock to us but I think Simpsons fans will still continue to watch and support the show, with all its crazy storylines.On the other hand, this photo was posted on The Simpsons official Twitter and Facebook pages just earlier today as well.
Hmm…. We do hope however that this is merely a rumor and that in a few days time, the world will be back to how it should be… with Marge and Homer together!
