Princesa Garden Island Resort And Spa: A Getaway Like No Other

Accommodations

Though there are different kinds of accommodations at Princesa Garden, it will actually depend on how many you will be and what your budget is.

117

We stayed at a Premier Pool Room, which has a king size bed, a spacious bathroom, a balcony daybed and a TV.

28

The best part about it is the direct pool access, though.

261

This part of the pool is exclusive for the rooms with direct access – perfect for those who want to enjoy some peace and quiet.

231

If you think the pool-access room is the best, then you have to see the Ocean Villas.

Located directly on the beach, the Water Villas are an oasis for travelers who want some private time. It has its own reception area and is perfect for honeymooners. They have their own jacuzzi at their balcony/wooden deck, so they can enjoy some bubbles while looking out at the ocean.

The Food

Princesa Garden has 4 restaurants inside the resort: Tomato and Basil, Golden Elephant, Rice, and Sala Lobby Lounge.  Each restaurant has their own specialties, but the hotel’s main restaurant is Rice, where you can catch a buffet breakfast.

At Sala Lobby Lounge, you can enjoy cakes, cocktails, coffee and different meals.

30

One of our favorites from Sala is the Nasi Goreng. If you like spicy food, this is a must try! The chicken is served with a side of dilis, cucumber, peanuts and chilis. It also has rice topped with a sunny side up egg.

311

If you like something simpler but filling, you can try the Chicken Teriyaki. You will love the well-cooked chicken and its thick teriyaki sauce on top of steamed white rice.

Tomato and Basil, on the other hand, serves pasta, pizza and other Italian favorites.

162

For starters, you can try their Calamares.

182

Their Carbonara is quite special because it is topped with a poached egg. It adds to the perfect creaminess of the pasta sauce along with bacon bits that add a little crunch to the dish.

75

The must-tries at Tomato and Basil, though, are their Pizzas. This one is the brick oven-baked Margherita. Top tip: ask for extra parmesan cheese and hot sauce!

Golden Elephant is located near the water villas and is directly on top of the water. The restaurant is perfect for romantic dates and gives a perfect view of the ocean.

56

At Golden Elephant, start your meal with the Pomelo Salad. For someone who doesn’t really like vegetables, I found their pomelo salad delicious. It has shrimp, peanuts, mangoes, generous pomelo slices, and different kinds of greens.

64

They have the best Chicken Satay. They serve it on a small grill on your table. Don’t worry, though! The very accommodating staff will help you cook them to perfection. It is served with peanut sauce and is perfect to pair with their fried rice.

96

The must-try from Golden Elephant is their fresh seafood. There are aquariums in the restaurant where you can pick the seafood you want to order. We love the spicy tiger prawns!

76

Of course, if there is lobster on the menu… Order lobster!

86

The seafood is prized per 100 grams and is served with three sauces.

106

Whether you want to relax or discover the beautiful islands of Puerto Princesa, Princesa Garden is the perfect place to stay. The resort, food, service, and staff are great; you’ll want to keep coming back for more.
