Presidential daughter and Davao City mayor Sara Duterte had a successful delivery this afternoon, giving birth to a healthy boy named Stonefish.
The news was announced by Duterte’s husband, lawyer Mans Carpio, who posted a photo of the family on Instagram.
He captioned the photo with “Thank you, Lord, for the gift of life. Mayor Inday Sara is stable and generally fine.”
Mayor Duterte announced last August that she was expecting triplets, but lost two of the babies three days after a bomb went off in Davao City the following month.
Stonefish was born at the Davao’s Doctor Hospital at 12.56PM. He is the couple’s third child. He will join Shark (a girl) and Stingray (a boy).
According to Jefry Tupas, one of Duterte’s staff, the couple chose names related to aquatic creatures because the mayor loves the sea.
