Fitbox Technogym: Workout Area
As part of the warm up exercises, most boxing gyms require members to run around or jog in place. Fitbox Technogym however is equipped with treadmills, and particularly uses Intenza Treadmills.

After your warm-up on the treadmill or on jump ropes, one of the coaches would automatically approach you to guide you through a stretching exercise or a circuit workout. I’ll tell you more about the coaches later. Now besides the treadmills, they also have a variety of equipment every boxer needs.

The punching bags at Fitbox Technogym come in a variety of shapes and sizes each serving its own purpose. Moreover, there are enough spaces in between punching bags to give members enough space to move and practice their techniques.

And then there are the box mannequins for a more realistic and practical approach. Try your moves on these dummies first before using them in the ring. Be gentle though as these guys can’t fight back.

And how could I forget the dreaded speed balls? I tell you, these things are harder than they look! So much harder!! I now have higher respect for people who can easily use the speed ball!

Fitbox Technogym of course also has their own boxing ring not only to give members a taste of what its like to box in the ring, but to also help members practice moving around the area and prepare them for competition. Who knows right? There is also a matted area (as seen in the photo above) which is usually used for Muay Thai trainings. Behind that is the toning area. Here you will see a variety of weights and equipment to help tone the muscle and is usually used for cooling down after a nice boxing workout.

Fitbox Technogym: Coaches
Fitbox Technogym has around 8 different coaches, each with something unique to bring the table. On my first few days, I got paired up with Coach Aton. Coach Aton is one of the youngest and funniest coaches at Fitbox. I felt he was the perfect coach for me ’cause we just kept laughing throughout the session. He was teaching me the right moves but in a fun and lighter way. On my last few days, I got the chance to work with head coach, Coach Edmar. He was the opposite of Coach Aton. He corrected my moves and tried to get me to be more serious. I loved both coach as they both taught me something and I learned in different ways. In short, the coaches balance each other out.
The coaches are also extremely friendly and accommodating. You don’t need to pay an extra price just to get noticed, because at Fitbox, the coaches WILL approach you and teach you. They will never leave you alone. They will guide you every step of the way. They will be gentle with you if you request it, or push hard if you need it.

Fitbox Technogym: My Overall Experience

If you’re used to the typical hard core old school boxing gym, then this might be something very different to you. You could love it for its modern style or hate it for being different and classy. Either ways, I urge you all to give it a try. I personally love the colors used, the facilities and the ambiance, but more than just that, I loved the overall feel of the place. It’s not often that coaches are willing to keep an eye out for you without being paid, in Fitbox however, there is always a coach ready to lend a hand to make sure you get what you came for.
