The beginning of The Cat Clinic is quite the bittersweet story. The owners share with WhenInManila.com that their beloved cat, Kiki, was diagnosed with FIP in 2020. They took him to a local vet but were “distressed by the environment.”
“The constant barking from dogs made it evident that the setting was not conducive to healing for cats like Kiki,” they add.
They created a makeshift confinement area at home and arranged for vet visits, but unfortunately, Kiki contracted the Parvo virus during his time at the clinic, causing him to pass away after a short while.
“Our distressing journey with Kiki and our other cats inspired us to establish The Cat Clinic. We envisioned a sanctuary specifically designed for cats, ensuring no other feline has to endure what our cats went through,” they share.
We’re sure that a lot of other cat parents have had the same experience with a lot of general veterinary clinics. It’s amazing how they turned such a tragedy into a beautiful thing that can help other feline friends as well.
