Seeing a film with celebrities sure is exciting but what better way to seeing a horror film than by watching it with Pennywise who you know as a shape-shifting, children-eating evil monster at the luxurious Director’s Club Cinema’s newest branch at The Podium Mall. You wouldn’t know when he’ll surprise you while the jump-scare scenes are on! Popcorn will be everywhere! Don’t worry–popcorn’s unlimited.
Yup! Pennywise surely enjoyed the film as much as we did! See that smile?
IT Chapter Two
The Losers’ Club has grown up and moved on from their first encounter with the soul-hungry clown, Pennywise, but a call from an old friend reunites them after twenty-seven years. With their pact from their prepubescent days, they’re more than ready to batlle with Pennywise after hearing about missing and murdered children around town.
Based on the 1986 novel by Stephen King, IT Chapter Two (sequel to IT in 2017), introduces an entirely new cast to take on the roles of The Losers’ Club: James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), Jay Ryan (Ben Henscom), Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak), and Andy Bean (Stanley Uris). Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff are still gonna be there so be ready for some ultimate flashbacks!
A debate from critics on the nearly-three-hour-long ‘Monsterpiece’ film, directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Gary Dauberman, is between it being “well-acted and satisfying” and “just scarily long and less charming than the first.” We felt a mix of both but nevertheless, the imagery, like in the first movie, remained enjoyable to watch. Don’t expect jump scares as there’s not much but just like how ‘It’ resurfaced after twenty-seven, long years, the film highlighted how trauma can suddenly resurface; reminding us of the fears we tried to bury and of the value of friendship and commitment.
We suggest you see it (pun intended) for yourself and tell us what you think!
