A debate from critics on the nearly-three-hour-long ‘Monsterpiece’ film, directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Gary Dauberman, is between it being “well-acted and satisfying” and “just scarily long and less charming than the first.” We felt a mix of both but nevertheless, the imagery, like in the first movie, remained enjoyable to watch. Don’t expect jump scares as there’s not much but just like how ‘It’ resurfaced after twenty-seven, long years, the film highlighted how trauma can suddenly resurface; reminding us of the fears we tried to bury and of the value of friendship and commitment.

We suggest you see it (pun intended) for yourself and tell us what you think!
