Earlier this year, when the first trailer for the live-action ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ movie was released, the entire Internet expressed their unhappiness, causing Paramount Pictures to change his appearance completely. In case you’ve forgotten, this is what he originally looked like in the trailer:
Now they’ve released a new trailer and we’re relieved to say that Sonic now looks MUCH better with bigger eyes, a shorter body, and uncreepy teeth. In fact, he looks almost as small and as cute as he did in the video game of the 90s. In the new trailer, we also get a better look at Doctor Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey. Check out the brand new trailer here:
Based on the global blockbuster video game franchise from Sega, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures, and will start showing in Philippine cinemas in February 2020.
What do you think of Sonic’s new look in the trailer? Better?
