WATCH: Here’s Your First Look at the New Spongebob Spin-Off, ‘The Patrick Star Show’

Nickelodeon has officially released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants spin-off, The Patrick Star Show!

In case you haven’t heard, SpongeBob’s best friend Patrick is getting his own television show which follows the sea star’s adventures and shenanigans during his younger years.

According to the official synopsis by Deadline, “The Patrick Star Show” is a family sitcom involving Patrick’s relatives who must cope with the sea star’s wild imagination, whimsy, and spontaneity as he hosts his own show for the neighborhood from his television-turned-bedroom. His little sister, Squidina, works behind the scenes to make sure Patrick’s show is always running smoothly, while his parents, Bunny and Cecil and his grandpa, GrandPat, each support Patrick in their own hilariously absurd ways.

Patrick will, of course, be voiced by Bill Fagerbakke, who has voiced the character since the premiere of the original SpongeBob SquarePants series. Veteran voice actors of our other favorite characters will also be coming back to star in the show, such as Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward Tentacles), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton).

The Patrick Star Show will have a total of 13 episodes and will be helmed by the creative team of the original series. It is scheduled to premiere this July on Nickelodeon.
