UP Kustura urges the Marikeño youth to #DoMore as it once again holds its annual flagship event, LISTO: Tagisan ng Talino ng mga Marikeño. On its 14th year since it was launched, LISTO 2017 will host a journalism workshop and competition alongside the annual debate competition. This annual project aims to promote unity and cooperation, develop leadership and reason, and uplift the talents of Marikeños concerning the society and the events that our country is currently facing. Continuing its legacy of training critical-thinking among student representatives through the fundamentals of debate, LISTO 2017 will be held on November 11, 2017, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at UP Diliman with the theme Debating Perspectives, Writing Realities. LISTO’s growth and expansion is a clear manifestation of UP Kustura’s commitment to serve and involve more participants in its events and be a wider avenue for the youth to exercise their freedom of expression and passion for societal change.

UP KUSTURA is a socio-cultural organization comprising of college students from the University of the Philippines, Diliman residing in the City of Marikina. It was founded with the aims of binding and consolidating UP students who are living in Marikina and of Marikeño lineage, promoting academic and leadership excellence, and advancing the social, cultural, economic and political consciousness of the people of Marikina.
