There are cartoons that we grew up with, plus numerous up and coming animated movies that we’re excited to watch! Ever wonder how these came about? Curious on what the inspiration is behind these pictures?
Last May 5, 2017, Toon City Academy and Seneca Academy held an event to introduce and offer “So What’s Your Story?”, a 6-week certificate program that is about teaching the art of turning stories and scripts into visual narratives. It was a sunny afternoon, which added to the creative atmosphere inside the Toon City Academy event in Makati City.
Toon City Academy and Seneca College launched their partnership during an introductory lecture given by Mr. Pavlovic. The event was attended by His Excellency, Ambassador John T. Holmes, Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines. Also present at the event was Mr. Juan Miguel del Rosario, President of the Animation Council of the Philippines.
This is the first international collaborative workshop of Toon City Academy and Seneca College. So, why bother taking the courses under Toon City Academy?

The sponsors of the workshop are Wacom and Toon Boom Storyboard Pro. Participants are free to try the product displays in Toon City. It was an experience seeing the colors and lines show on the screen just like how you envisioned how you want your hands to draw ’em.
It was definitely an interesting and inspiring afternoon. Join the workshops and check them out for yourself!
