This is not your basic sushi bake!

Alyssa Maru, the woman behind 128 Baker St., says that she grew up eating sushi. With her fondness for seafood, it was only a matter of time before she jumped on the sushi bake bandwagon… and she made it extra by topping it generously with large shrimp!

Alyssa – or more appropriately, Atty. Alyssa is a full-time lawyer who bakes on the weekends as her therapy.

Her inspiration comes from her family’s authentic Japanese restaurant in Makati, Seryna.

According to Maru, this ebi kani sushi bake is a product of her will to create something comforting and affordable without sacrificing its quality. Made with freshly harvested salmon and suahe, a 12 by 8.5-inch tray like this that’s good for the entire family costs Php 1,200.
