DANCELEBRATION, the longest running inter-school competition in Metro Manila, will be back for its 30th season this February 23, 2019, 3PM at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium, De La Salle University.
The La Salle Dance Company-Contemporary (LSDC-Contemporary) produced and debuted Dancelebration in the 1980s. The competition is divided into three categories: High School, College-Contemporary/Modern/Jazz, and College Street Dance. Through its consistent creativity of introducing a different theme for dance groups to incorporate in their pieces each year, Dancelebration has served as a trailblazer in the dance community and is known for the camaraderie it builds among participating groups.
For its pearl anniversary, Dancelebration will have the theme “DIGITAL.” Dance groups joining this year’s competition are challenged to express anything related to the theme, including how technology has affected the life of the human race either positively or negatively and all the different forms and types of digital technology from 8-bit games, software, social media, the Internet and programming.
LSDC-Contemporary invites everyone to celebrate dance and watch the 30th Digital Dancelebration with tickets sold at Php250.00. For inquiries, contact Jinia Paz at 0917 473 1744, or you visit Dancelebration’s Facebook page or LSDC-Contemporary’s social media pages:
