Photographer Apologizes For Photo Of Toni Gonzaga “Touching” National Museum Painting

Just a little after her much talked-about engagement to director Paul Soriano, Toni Gonzaga is in hot water because of a certain photo from her pre-nuptial photo shoot, which took place at the National Museum.

In the photo, Toni is seen “touching” a painting with her elbow, which had some netizens’ eyebrows raised.

According to the guidelines of the National Museum:

Touching artworks and taking photos of exhibit items for commercial purposes inside galleries are strictly prohibited unless otherwise authorized through a special permit from the Director’s Office/Museum Education Division.

Metrophoto, the photography team in charge of Toni’s pre-nuptial shoot, later issued an apology on their Facebook page through Oly Ruiz:

According to Metrophoto, all the paintings used in the shoot were replicas, and that “as professionals we always ensure that we provide safety not only for our subjects but also the respect of our shoot locations”. They have also since taken down the photo from their website.
