The internet is abuzz with rumors at the moment regarding the possibility of Marian Rivera becoming one of the judges of the upcoming Miss Universe 2021 beauty pageant after the actress made a cryptic Instagram post this week.
On Wednesday, December 1, Marian shared a picture of herself wearing a red gown as she wrote in the caption, “Honored.” The simple message included an emoji of a crown and space as well as the hashtag “#grateful.”

Her husband Dingdong Dantes also couldn’t help but tease fans in the comments section. “Miss u…” he said, addressing Marian, though it’s unclear if he was telling her that he misses her or that he’s confirming that her post had something to do with Miss Universe.
Neither Marian nor the Miss Universe Organization has confirmed the rumors that she will be a part of the beauty competition’s selection committee this year but it won’t be long before we find out. Miss Universe 2021, where the Philippines’ representative Beatrice Luigi Gomez will vie for the country’s fifth crown, will take place in Israel on December 12, a little over a week from now.
Filipino celebrities have already been part of the Miss Universe pageant’s selection committee in the past—namely Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in the 2017 competition and Broadway star Lea Salonga in 2011.
