Starting strong on March 23 with an intensive JiuJitsu All Day event where everyone is invited, the excitement continues in April with the launch of the Kids Judo and JiuJitsu Summer Program, followed by a General Assembly on April 6.
May brings a special much-awaited workshop with Professor Nic Gregoriades on the 19th, while June offers a unique Coffee Immersion experience and a fun-filled Family Day on the 15th at The Fun Farm in Sta. Elena. As we move into the latter part of the year, prepare for intense competition at the Intra-Team Championships on October 6, followed by fun festivities for Halloween on October 26. Finally, ORIGINS will wrap up the year with a bang at the Year-End Party on December 7.
Under the leadership of Professor TJ Sulit, 2nd degree BJJ black belt and 4th degree Judo black belt, ORIGINS Nuvali stands as a beacon of martial arts excellence and community in the south. Professor TJ Sulit is a lifelong martial artist with over 33 years of competing and 23 years of coaching under his belt. He started Judo at 11 years old and eventually earned a 4th degree black belt in this revered Japanese martial art. Professor TJ added Brazilian JiuJitsu to his arsenal after seeing how it complemented Judo as well as witnessing its effectiveness in the UFC and MMA scenes. Aside from being an athlete and professor, Professor TJ is active as an international JiuJitsu referee, being the first Filipino to referee in the JiuJitsu International Federation World Championships. He is also a Level 2 Precision Nutrition Coach.
ORIGINS Martial Arts is not your usual gym or traditional dojo. At its core, it values family, community, and our planet. ORIGINS Martial Arts prides itself in having an open academy atmosphere, wherein practitioners both new and old are welcome to train regardless of affiliations with other JiuJitsu teams. This open set-up allows ORIGINS to experience training with the vast majority of Brazilian JiuJitsu practitioners both locally and abroad, giving its students the experience needed to improve their skills while enriching their experience through a wider network. This setup allows for a non-intimidating culture wherein students feel welcomed while allowing optimal learning.
ORIGINS Martial Arts is the first of its kind, a full-time JiuJitsu and Judo gym with multiple classes a day, seven days a week. Multiple sessions per day means the dojo offers classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitioners, with daily classes for kids, teens, professionals, corporate individuals, and everyone in between, including private sessions.
