TV Patrol‘s Bernadette Sembrano and Karen Davila were also there. Sembrano shared some of Mike’s qualities that left the greatest impression on her in an interview with GMA News. “‘Yung pagiging sobrang kwela,” she began, followed by “‘yung kanyang courage,” and finally, “valor, na hindi niya ipinagyayabang.”

Meanwhile, Davila reminisced the first time she met Mike saying, “I met Mike when I was 24 years old, at siya ‘yung una kong naging co-anchor, limang taon kaming magkasama sa programang Saksi. Pero alam mo, higit sa lahat, hindi lang siya co-anchor sa akin, si Mike was always a friend. Napakadali niyang kasama, wala siyang yabang, I think alam niyo naman ‘to–palagi siyang nagpapatawa, masaya siya.”

Then, she continued on with a message to her friend. “Mike, all I can tell you right now is, we feel the loss in the industry. You’ve made so many friends who love you, and I know you’re in heaven right now and you’re just so valued. So, Mike, I love you very much,” she said.

On the other hand, former Chika Minute host Pia Guanio gave a heartfelt message to Mike. “Since the time that I left 24 Oras, we’ve been meaning to get together, and we never got to. So, Mike, I wish that we could have shared more dinners together, we could have taken more trips together,” she said in a separate video by GMA News. “Thank you for everything. I will always cherish the times that we had together on the show and even outside of it. Thank you for being such a good friend to me and to my husband.”
