Longtime couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo are getting married and expecting a baby!
The 34-year-old actress took to Instagram to announce the news of her engagement with Dennis with a photo of them kissing while a big bright sign that read “MARRY ME” stood in the background. In the caption, Jennylyn wrote: “It’s always been a YES.”

They also published a Youtube vlog to share more details about Dennis’ proposal and Jennylyn’s pregnancy and had a joint interview on 24 Oras on the same evening.
According to Jennylyn, it was during the taping of her television soap “Love. Die. Repeat.” two months ago when she discovered that something felt “different.” At that time, news got out that she had a “medical emergency” which put a temporary pause on the shooting and eventually gave rise to rumors that she was actually having a baby. Her management issued a statement assuring fans that she was “in good condition and in good health” but did not address the rumors.
“Ang timing niya ay nasa taping ako ng ‘Love. Die. Repeat.’ So nangyari ‘to two months ago. Dun ko na-feel na medyo iba ako eh, medyo emotional ako. Iba yung pakiramdam ko,” Jennylyn said during their joint interview.
She then said that they had always wanted a child together and are now happy that this blessing had finally come.
“Two boys na kami so sana, sana ibigay na sa ‘min ang baby girl,” she expressed.
Dennis had proposed to Jennylyn at home after pretending to discuss a plan for their next Youtube vlog which was about writing a message to their future selves. Dennis then gave a romantic and heartfelt speech thanking his partner for everything she’s done for him in the 11 years that they’ve been together.

“Gusto ko lang mag thank you kasi pinili mo ako na samahan sa journey na ito. Iniisip mo siguro kung bakit ngayon lang nangyari pero hindi pa kasi siguro ako ready noon. Pero siniguro ko muna na talagang kapag nangyari yun, ito na yung best version ko,” he began.
“Gusto ko lang mag thank you kasi tinulungan mo ko maging ganun. Salamat lang talaga at dumating ka sa buhay ko. Hindi ko alam kung makakahanap pa ko ng pagmamahal na katulad ng binigay mo sa akin,” he added with tears in his eyes. “Ikaw lang ang gusto kong makasama at ang bagong addition sa pamilya natin.”
He then got down on one knee while the doors behind them opened to reveal a backdrop of plants, balloons, and the “MARRY ME” sign which were all done by celebrity event stylist Gideon Hermosa.
Jennylyn then answered Dennis, “Oo naman!”
