The ongoing Enhanced Community Quarantine has made it hard for people to get their essentials. Aside from the risk of catching COVID-19 while outside (which we’re supposed to avoid in the first place), there are also rules to consider, depending on which city and barangay you’re from. These include curfew, checkpoints, and the need for a quarantine pass, among others.
That’s why online groceries and pabili services are a godsend. While there are many options out there, most are busy because of growing demand. Thankfully, Grab just launched its own delivery service for goods— and its called GrabMart!

GrabMart is an extra feature on the Grab app that lets you buy packaged food, beverages, personal care items, and other essentials. And best of all, you can have it delivered to you instantly!
For now, the feature is available only in selected areas of Metro Manila, but according to Grab’s website, they’re working just as hard to expand their reach and provide a wider assortment of products.
How does it Work
Although the feature is still in its beta testing stage, Grab already released FAQs and instructions on how to order via GrabMart. So far, it’s a straightforward process that can be done through their app.
After launching the Grab app, head on over to GrabMart. Choose from their partner merchants, and add the things you’d like to buy to your virtual cart. These include packaged food, drinks, home care, and personal care items. When finished, confirm your order, and a rider will deliver your items to you.

The delivery fee will vary depending on the store and location, but it starts at P120. For small basket orders under P1,500, an additional small order fee of P30 will be charged. On the other hand, the maximum amount you can order so far is P3,000.
And finally, your mode of payment includes Cash on Delivery and GrabPay, an in-app currency. They don’t allow credit card payments as of the moment, but don’t worry— you can use your debit or credit card to top up your GrabPay.
