Pixar Studios Honors Frontliners by Saying: ‘Mano Po’

As the COVID-19 outbreak sweeps the world, we adjust to a ‘new normal’ and see the rise of a new breed of heroes – the healthcare workers, security personnel, couriers, and others braving the frontlines of the pandemic.

We know how invaluable they have all been in this time of need and while gratitude may not be enough to repay them for their actions, recognizing their deeds is the very least we can do.

Pixar Animation Studios recently did the same by sharing some art ‘honoring’ these brave frontliners.

“THANK YOU to all healthcare workers, essential workers, frontline workers for being out there, saving lives, and helping us through this Pandemic,” Pixar animator Bobby Rubio captioned his piece.

“I have family and friends out there, risking their lives every day. I want you to know it is much appreciated! Mano/Mano Po is an honoring gesture used in the Filipino culture. I honor ALL you frontline heroes!”

Rubio also posted on his personal Instagram a timelapse of the creative process behind his art.
