Fans were delighted to see ex-couple Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz attending their daughter Sam’s graduation from De La Salle Santiago Zobel over the weekend.
Both Cesar and Sunshine took pictures with their child during her commencement exercise and shared them on their individual Instagram pages, congratulating her for her achievement. “Proud parents! Congratulations [Sam]! We love you!” wrote Sunshine.
“Congrats Samantha Angelene! Proud parents. Love you!!!” Cesar said in his own post.
Cesar also got to attend Sam’s 18th birthday the previous year.
Prior to that, Cesar was able to bond with Sam and his two other daughters with Sunshine, Angelina and Chesca, and his son Diego Loyzaga in a fun-filled sports day.
To celebrate New Year, Sunshine, her daughters, Diego, and Cesar’s family with partner Kath Angeles all spent vacation together in Bohol.
“2022 has been memorable not just to me but my three girls too. They now have the piece that has been missing for years and I am genuinely happy for my princesses. They are good girls and they deserve the best in life. Love and forgiveness prevailed in our little family and that’s all that matters. I am always grateful to HIM for the blessings he has given me and my girls,” Sunshine wrote in a post at the time.
“Our family will never be perfect. We will for sure face more challenges and trials but I will choose this family over and over again.”

Sunshine and Cesar tied the knot in September 2000. Their marriage was then nullified in September 2018.
