Here’s Who Is the Most Followed Korean Solo Artist on Spotify Right Now

Fans would attest to the fact that what makes BTS is so great is its individual members, all of whom contribute to the band’s overall success with their talent, wit, and personality. It’s just right that each one is able to rake in accolades from the music industry too for their personal music projects, just like rapper J-Hope who has officially been named Spotify’s most-followed Korean solo artist!

The rapper and dancer has amassed more than 7 million followers on the music streaming website, becoming the very first Korean solo artist to ever hit that mark.

J-Hope released his 7-track debut EP titled “Hope World” in 2018 with the lead single “Daydream.” To date, the EP has exceeded 340 million streams.

It peaked at No. 38 on Billboard’s 200 chart, No. 19 on the Top Rap Albums, and No. 1 on the World Albums chart.

Meanwhile, his single “Chicken Noodle Soup” done in collaboration with American singer Becky G has received over 109 million streams. It debuted at No. 81 on Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard’s World Digital Songs

As of writing, J-Hope is the second biggest copyright holder among the BTS members and is credited in over 100 songs including BTS’ big hits like “Blood, Sweat, and Tears,” “MAMA,” and “Dionysus.” He, along with RM and Suga, are also currently full-fledged members of the Korea Music Copyright Association.
