Ateneo de Manila University’s theater organization is closing their 27th season of show productions with a re-staging of much-loved musical Spring Awakening.
Spring Awakening, which is set in 19th century Germany, tells the coming-of-age and sexual awakening story of a group of schoolboys and girls who can depend on no one—not even their parents—but themselves to guide them through this big world full of things they are not taught at home or in school. The musical is filled with laughs and childlike curiosity, but it has its share of tragic moments as well.
Ateneo Blue Repertory has dropped teaser clips from their rehearsals and previews, and they’re enough to give you chills!
Ateneo Blue Repertory is currently selling tickets to their Spring Awakening show online. The show will run through March 29 to April 14, 2019.
