“Ask the Tax Whiz” with Mon Abrea of Abrea Consulting Group

Join us for an exclusive session with none other than tax whiz Mr. Mon Abrea – He is a former revenue officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and now serves as the chief strategy officer for Abrea Consulting Group (ACG). He is a certified public accountant and an MBA-Regis holder of Ateneo School of Business. Last year he was recognized as one of the distinguished global young leaders in the country during the Asia CEO Awards.
In the event, he will share his experience working for the BIR and give a brief histroy of ACG, their core values and the challeges that have gone their way. He will speak about the different taxes that need to be complied as a business owner/ entrepreneur. Mon will also give his inputs on the existing Tax Laws in the Philippines and answer any tax related concerns or questions you may have.

Mon Abrea, popularly known as the Tax Whiz, is a former Revenue Officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. He is the Founding President of the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines, Inc. (CSR Philippines), a non-profit organization that seeks to empower the fast growing sector of Filipino Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and also advocating for the genuine tax reforms in the Philippines. Concurrently, he serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Abrea Consulting Group (ACG) that was incorporated as the first social consulting enterprise in the Philippines. He is also the tax consultant to the BIR in its Provision of Solution for the Use of Interactive Forms for Filing Tax Returns Project- benchmarking on international best practices on filing and payment system. A Certified Public Accountant and an MBA-Regis-holder of Ateneo Graduate School of Business, Mon studied Accountancy at San Beda College as a full scholar of the Metrobank Foundation and graduated carrying the prestigious medal of the Rector-President’s award for academic excellence and outstanding leadership. Paying it forward, Mon serves as the President of Metrobank ASSET Inc. (an association of Metrobank Scholar-Alumni). He is also an alumnus of the Ayala Young Leaders Congress and recipient of the most coveted Gerry Roxas Leadership Award.
He was recognized as one of the distinguished global young leaders in the country during the Asia CEO Awards 2013.
