It’s been 15 years since A Walk to Remember premiered in the theaters and ruined our lives forever. I mean, who didn’t cry over that movie?? The Nicholas Spark novel-turned-film is about two high school students, a bad boy and a minister’s daughter, the complete opposites, but somehow fall in love. The girl, however, played by a mere 16-year-old Mandy Moore, had leukemia. The story then evolves from a classic high school love-hate relationship into a love story that would go beyond life and death. The young boy was played by Shane West. Simply put, it was an iconic film that people still talk about nowadays.

Mandy Moore recently revealed on Twitter that she and the rest of her A Walk to Remember co-stars are working on getting a reunion together. “We’re working on it!” Was what she tweeted.

In a recent interview celebrating the 15th year of the film, Mandy lovingly shared, “I think that it was such an overwhelmingly positive, memorable experience for me because it was my first leading role, and it was the first film I worked on away from home,” the actress said. “We shot it in Wilmington, North Carolina, and it was the first time I’d ever had that kind of camp-like experience where you come home and cry when it’s over and you’re determined to keep in touch with everyone. It just gives me an all-encompassing warm feeling inside.”

She even goes on to share that she definitely fell in in love with co-star Shane West off-screen, too. Many Moore explained, “Shane was so cool. Everything about him—the way he dressed, the little cigarettes that he smoked, and the music he listened to. He was the character to me and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him. I don’t know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, it was my first experience doing anything like this and I was a 16-year-old, impressionable girl.”

And now we’re crying all over again. Make that reunion happen already!
