For the second time this 2019, Streets to Schools will be hosting another fund-raising event entitled “Alitaptap: Aninag ng Sining” in the form of a beneficial gig. The event will be held this June 29, Saturday, in the acclaimed Maginhawa Street in Quezon City, with the help of WhenInManila.com.

Alitaptap will take place at Jess and Pat’s, opening its doors for the guests by 6 PM which shows all the good things in an indie & artsy cafe, serving homemade burgers, local coffee and comfort food as a ticket purchase would already be exclusive of a food and drink package.

The bands that would be staged in the event include Fourplay MNL, The Ridleys, and La Luna, and two homegrown bands from the University of Santo Tomas, Padlocked Music and Something About Pancakes.

After the success of the two-part block screening series of Streets to Schools, the executive team decided to take it up a notch and host the upcoming event that aims to cater people in love with the arts as the event would also feature different enthralling artworks from different artists.

“Well yung event is to promote art through music, etc. naman diba, so we took the opportunity para ipakita sa iba na we’re ready to showcase kung ano man meron tayo or something while also enjoying ourselves in the process,” said by Something About Pancakes when asked for their personal drive in performing in the said event.

Proceeds that will be collected from the event would be used to carry out future projects of the youth-based organization that is centered around Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, specifically, quality education for all.
